Hashimoto's Thyroiditis is an autoimmune disease in which antibodies are formed against cells in the thyroid gland. Therefore, levels of these hormones drop, and metabolism becomes sluggish, meaning that it is hard to lose weight, cholesterol and triglyceride levels rise and there is a feeling of fatigue and often depression.
